SUMMER SESSION
NEW in Summer 2025
Summer Session is a new program designed to combine the fun traditions of Camp Rodef Shalom with the consistency and nurturing of the ECC that parents and kids have loved for over 50 years. ECC Summer Session will begin in summer 2025 as a standalone program before becoming a regular extension of the school year in '25-26 onwards.
Who teaches Summer Session?
Our wonderful ECC teaching staff! We will still have our amazing teacher-student ratio in every classroom (3+ adults per 14 children) made up of one lead teacher and at least 2 assistant teachers.
Who is eligible for Summer Session?
Summer Session is open to children who will turn 3 (i.e. a "rising 3s student") or 4 (a "rising Pre-K student") by September 30th of that calendar year. For example, a child who turns 4 in August 2025 will be eligible for Summer Session 2025 as a rising Pre-K student, but a child who turns 4 in November 2025 will be eligible for Summer Session 2025 as a rising 3s student.

What enrollment options are there?
Parents have the option to register for Summer Session 2025, School Year '25-26, and Summer Session 2026! Secure your child's spot early—space is limited and demand is high!

How much does Summer Session cost?
Summer Session 2025 and 2026 tuition prices coming soon!
Will snacks and lunch be provided?
The ECC will provide morning snacks to children enrolled in Summer Session! Children enrolled until 12:00 p.m. will not have lunch at school; children enrolled until 2:00 p.m. (with or without Aftercare) will need to bring a lunch every day.
Children enrolled in Aftercare or Extended Aftercare will receive an additional snack in the afternoon.
The ECC is a peanut-, tree nut-, sesame-, pork-, and shellfish-free school; all snacks provided at school are free of these ingredients, and lunches provided by families should be as well. Additional allergies will be accommodated.
Will children nap at Summer Session?
Children who end their Summer Session day at 12:00, 2:00, or 3:00 p.m. will not have a nap time during their time at school; classes dismissing at 2:00 instead have quiet wind-down time in the classroom every day. Children enrolled in Extended Aftercare will be provided with a cot and quiet place to rest for around one hour every day. Parents should provide a blanket and pillow (and perhaps a stuffed animal!) for nap time. Books and other quiet activities will be provided for non-nappers after 30 minutes.
How do I enroll my child in Summer Session?
Applications for Summer Session 2025, School Year '25-26, and Summer Session 2026 will be accepted beginning January 6th, 2025 (priority registration; see next section for eligibility) or January 30th, 2025 (general public).
To register for Summer Session 2025, fill out this online form. Coming soon!
To register for Summer Session 2026, fill out the School Year 2025-2026 Application. Coming soon!
How are applications decided?
Members of Temple Rodef Shalom, current and past ECC families, and younger siblings of Camp Rodef Shalom ('25) campers receive access to registration materials before the general public.
Because space in Summer Session is limited, preference is given to families desiring more weeks and/or longer days.
